
Some of our recent powerline projects include:
- Mine – 6 km of 477 Pelican main line with four 3/0 Pigeon stub-lines totalling 4km. This line included five air-brakes and required extensive use
of all-terrain equipment.
- Mine – EPC Contract of 10 km of 477 Pelican main line, 3 km of which was custom designed double circuit. Approximately 10 additional kilometers
of 3/0 Pigeon stub-lines.
- Utility – Approximately 11 km 3 phase line for Wind Generation company to feed the grid.
- Utility – Roughly 30 km of 477 Pelican line from sub-station to major customer transformer. 5 km of double circuit, three capacitor banks, and 250m
of underground into transformer.
- Mine (misc./maintenance) – cut back stub-lines as dragline moves, emergency call out for broken pole, troubleshoot issue with blown arrestor.
- Utility – several minor projects such as pole replacement, new service construction, coordinating conversion of overhead highway crossings to
underground via directional drill.
A few of our electrical projects in the Yukon include:
- Lighting retro-fit in remote communities, project included replacing several hundred ballasts, re-certifying fixtures as per code, and completing
maintenance tasks while at site.
- Retro-fit historical building for tourist use.
- Remote sight camp wiring and installations included powering water wells and wiring controls for massive overhead doors, and bringing existing
building electrical system to code.
- Minor maintenance for institutional customer including outlet installation, indoor/outdoor light repair, generator repair and maintenance.
